'Terrifying': Lindsay Lohan stares directly into the camera as she aims what appears to be a syringe at her wrist


Lindsay Lohan has been caught on camera apparently injecting what appears to be heroin into her arm.

The troubled 24-year-old is photographed wrapping what looks like a tourniquet around her arm before using a syringe to 'inject herself' with a substance into her left arm.

The photographs come just hours after Lohan was released from jail after just 14 hours behind bars following the posting of £190,000 bail.

A source told the newspaper: 'These images of her with the syringe are terrifying. What no one knows for certain is just how often Lindsay does drugs - or exactly which drugs she does.

'Lindsay has made no secret of her drug addiction. People are used to seeing her off her head.'

Other photographs, apparently taken at a Hollywood party believed to have been held in 2007, show Lohan partying with socialite Paris Hilton, passionately kissing and cuddling her.

The actress was brought before a judge earlier this week after failing two drug tests this month. One was for cocaine and the other was for Adderall - a drug taken for ADHD.

After failing her drugs test, Lohan wrote on her Twitter page: 'Substance abuse is a disease which doesn't go away overnight.

'I did fail my recent drug test. I am prepared to face the consequences.'

A Los Angeles judge overturned a ruling on Friday to deny Lohan bail and send her into custody at a Lynwood, California, jail.

'An order has been signed by Judge Patricia Schnegg granting writ of habeas corpus,' court spokesman Allan Parachini said on Friday night.
'Bail has been set at $300,000.'

Within hours the bail had been posted and Lohan walked free.

Judge Schnegg ruled, however, that Lohan must be fitted with a SCRAM alcohol-monitoring device.

She has also been ordered to keep away from shops that primarily sell alcohol, until her next appearance in court on 22 October.

The judge will then decide whether she formally violated her probation by failing the drugs test.

Lohan was ordered to jail until an Oct. 22 hearing after she admitted failing at least one court-ordered drug test in her three-year DUI case and was handcuffed and taken away.

Lindsay's reaction was apparently that of shock when she was remanded in custody.

She is said to have looked at her lawyer before being taken out of the courtroom.
Judge Fox scheduled a formal probation hearing for 30 days from now when Lindsay will have to answer to her failed drug tests.

He had previously warned Lohan he would put her back behind bars if she tested positive or skipped one of her twice-weekly tests.

The Probation Department will apparently not recommend jail time for the second failed drug test because of an ambiguity in the paperwork.

It has also been claimed Lohan is planning to voluntarily check back into rehab, despite relapsing just weeks after being released from her court-ordered stay in Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Centre.

A source told People.com: 'She will step up her treatment and do more than what she was previously ordered to do.'

If she does check back into a centre, it will be Lohan's fifth stay in rehab.
The actress previously spoke about her time in rehab, describing it as a 'vacation'.
In an interview earlier this year with America's OK! magazine, Lohan explained: 'Well, the second two times I went into rehab, to be honest with you, I had to go because it was a court thing.

'It was an obligation. I had to do it to stay out of getting any jail time. And I took responsibility for that. And it was like a vacation.

'But it was a positive experience. When I was there it was like, there’s a lot of people that I know who should really be here now, not for drugs or alcohol abuse - just to learn about life. The world is nuts.'

Lindsay Lohan has dyed her hair again after returning to a more auburn look two weeks ago.

The actress appears to have gone slightly lighter in colour, from red to a more strawberry-blonde shade.

She also visited the Raya skin salon with sister Ali Lohan, for a facial ahead of her upcoming Friday court date.

And now it looks as if Lindsay Lohan is trying to return to more innocent days after failing two drug tests last week and having a bench warrant issued for her arrest
The actress stepped out in Hollywood last night with the newly auburn hair and suspiciously plump lips.

Wearing an oversized grey sweater and black ankle boots, the 24-year-old appeared have nothing on underneath but a pair of black tights as she went to Izaka-Ya restaurant.

Lindsay is making the most of her freedom before her 8.30am court date on Friday.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox stated before that Lindsay would serve 30 days for each failed drug test or probation violation.

This means Lindsay is looking at 60 days in jail.

And as this is her second probation violation in less than three months, there's not much likelihood that the judge will be patient with her.

Despite apologising on Twitter for her actions, this time the Mean Girls star will not be allowed to leave early, but will have to serve the full 60 days.

'Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before Judge Fox next week as a result,' Lohan posted on her Twitter on Friday.

'I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that i am trying hard.

'But also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else. I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful....Thank you all!'

After her initial probation violation relating to a 2007 DUI charge, Lindsay served 13 days in jail followed immediately with 23 days in rehab.

Conditions of her rehab were that she would get twice weekly alcohol and drug tests as well as mandatory therapy and counseling.

She is likely to receive 30 days in jail for each failed test - a possible 60 days in total.

Russell Brand was arrested for battery at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) after allegedly attacking a photographer.

The British funnyman was traveling with fiance Katy Perry when he became irate with a photographer and struck him on Friday afternoon.

Perry, 25, has since claimed on her Twitter page that Brand leapt to her defence when a paparazzo tied to take pictures up her dress.

The reality television couple held hands and stole kisses whilst spending the day at the Santa Barbara Zoo begging the question - is the divorce off?

After their romantic stroll round the zoo the pair then headed to the Santa Barbara Pier where they joined friends for a seafood dinner.

Heidi, 24, filed for divorce from Spencer in July citing irreconcilable differences, 3 months after filing for legal separation.

The couple, who married in April 2009, have spent the summer apart with Heidi staying at her home in Costa Rica while Spencer, 27, stayed at their house in Malibu

Is Jessica Alba promoting a new movie? It would appear so by the see-through top she was wearing through LAX Airport on Thursday.

The sultry siren looked stunning in her revealing outfit on her way back from Venice Film Festival where she attended the screening of her new film Machete.

Alba, 29, wore faded roll-up jeans, cream cropped jacket and a beige see-through top which showed her black bra underneath.

The Fantastic Four star does try to be modest sometimes by revealing that she didn't go totally naked when filming nude scenes in Machete.

'I had undies on, and I had other stuff on, and they just sort of etched it out in post production. That's not really me. I'm better covered up.'

Jessica recently stood up for her Machete co-star Lindsay Lohan saying that despite LiLo's recent troubles she's a 'brilliant actress'.

Jessica revealed that her character in the movie is 'totally crazy'.

'I play a pharmaceutical sales rep who is very, um, outgoing and has no sense of personal space. She says exactly what's on her mind and has no filter at all.

With a new movie to promote, she has been pulling out all the stops to make herself look both glamorous and stylish in recent weeks.

But Drew Barrymore looked far from stunning as she arrived at LAX airport yesterday.

The 35-year-old actress seemed to be trying out a new 'hobo chic' image, with her floppy felt hat, baggy tie dyed T-shirt, knitted baggy cardigan and ripped jeans.

Hiding behind dark sunglasses, she didn't want to be recognised as she gripped a large cup of coffee.

The actress is no stranger to changing her look - she has sported brunette, blonde and red hair over the years and experimented with grungy styles.

'My style is totally eclectic. It depends on what mood I wake up in,' she said recently.

'Am I feeling retro 60s? Am I hippy chick from the 70? But I love floral patterns too - I'm actually a bit of a girlie girl.'
