Holding On: Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley took to the streets of New York yesterday


Jason Statham usually plays a hard man on the big screen, but when it comes to his girlfriend, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley he looks every bit the softie.

Statham and Huntington-Whiteley took a break from their busy schedules to snuggle and shop in New York at the weekend.

The couple, who have been together less than a year looked especially cosy and happy as they strolled the streets hand in hand.

Statham, 38, and Huntington-Whiteley, 23, a Victoria Secret's model turned actress, were very affectionate, arms entwined as they shopped in the Soho district of the city.

At one point, the ruggedly-handsome Expendables star looked on coyly as his girlfriend heartily hailed a cab.

Huntington-Whiteley spent the day with Statham, taking time off from filming Transformers 3. She replaced Megan Fox in the film trilogy.

Despite their high-profiles, the twosome have stayed somewhat out of the spotlight since they began dating last April.

Statham is best known for his role in the Guy Ritchie's Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and the Transporter films.

The actor appeared relaxed and very much into his girlfriend but his time will soon be taken up with the promotion of several new films.


The Killer Elite with Clive Owen will be released in 2011 and Thirteen, with 50 cent, Mickey Rourke and Ray Liotta, will be released in Europe this fall.

This isn't the first high-profile relationship for each of them.

Statham had a long-term relationship with actress Kelly Brook and Huntington-Whiteley dated both French actor Olivier Martinez and Tyrone Wood, son of Rolling Stone, Ronnie Wood.

Prior to dating Huntington-Whiteley, Statham was seen cruising on a yacht in St. Barths on New Year's Day with brunette girlfriend Alex Zosman.

However, Zosnon seems to have disappeared since Statham met Huntington-Whiteley.
